Home MenuThe City of Hawaiian Gardens is offering residents and businesses a rebate of $50 per security camera device, for as many as two security camera devices, per residential address. The rebate program is offered on a first come, first served basis, to Hawaiian Gardens residents and businesses who purchase and install security camera devices on or after, August 2, 2022. Rebates are available until program funding is expended.
Eligibility:
Each resident applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Reside in the City of Hawaiian Gardens and have a valid government issued ID displaying your City of Hawaiian Gardens residential address.
- Have a current utility bill (water, electricity, gas, phone) registered in your name to your City of Hawaiian Gardens residential address, matching the Hawaiian Gardens address on your valid government issued ID. Your utility bill must be dated within 60 days of when you submit your application.
- Own or rent the City of Hawaiian Gardens residence where the security camera device(s) will be installed.
- If currently renting, a signed letter from the owner of the Hawaiian Gardens residential property is required expressly giving written consent to you to install the security camera device on the exterior of the residential property.
Each Business applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a business owner
- Have a valid city business license
- Submit an application with all documentation needed
To be eligible for the $50 rebate, each security camera device, must meet the following requirements:
- Each security camera device must individually be equipped with a camera
- Be a brand-new, in original packaging, non-refurbished, security camera device
- Each security camera device must have a total sale price, before taxes and installation, of $100 or greater.
- To be eligible for two (2) $50 rebates, the total sale price, before taxes and installation, must be
$200 or greater, and there must be a minimum of two individual cameras.
- Be installed on the front facing exterior of the home prior to rebate application submission. Camera angle(s) must capture any of the following location(s):
- Front door
- Front driveway
- Front facing street
- Front facing yard
The maximum allowable rebate is $100 per Hawaiian Gardens residential or business address.
The rebate is exclusively for the cost of the security camera device(s) not including any applicable tax. The rebate does not include the cost for security camera device installation, additional storage space, accessories, or any cameras that are purchased, but not installed on the exterior of the property, capturing any of the four eligible camera angles listed above.
*Please provide physical copies of each of the following documents for your application* Incomplete applications, and applications missing one or more of the required documents will not be considered.
Application:
To apply for a rebate, complete the following steps:
- Purchase up to (2) security camera devices that meet the above listed eligibility requirements.
- Install the security camera device(s) to the front facing exterior of your home in a location that meets the above listed camera angle capture requirements.
- Complete the Hawaiian Gardens Home Security Camera Rebate Application. Include the following required documents as attached:
- Complete rebate application
- Copy of sales receipt dated on or after August 2, 2022.
- Copy of valid government issued ID with City of Hawaiian Gardens residential address
- Copy of current utility bill (water, electricity, gas, phone) registered in your name to your City of Hawaiian Gardens residential address, matching the Hawaiian Gardens address on your valid government issued ID. Your utility bill must be dated within 60 days of when you submit your application.
- If renting – copy of letter from property owner allowing device installation
- Photo of each security camera device installed to exterior of your home
- Image from each security camera device feed displaying camera angle
