LA-HOP is designed to assist people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles County with outreach services. Outreach workers will continue operating in the field in Hawaiian Gardens.

Did you see someone experiencing homelessness who needs help? Notice a homeless neighbor who seems to be struggling with their physical and/or mental health? You can help them by filling out an outreach request and alert us to any specific concerns you may have regarding the person’s well-being. We’ll use this information to dispatch a homeless services outreach team to the area.

The Resource Office at The Way Out Ministries in Hawaiian Gardens remains open to local community members in need of assistance. County-contracted, multi-disciplinary teams, consisting of outreach, medical, mental health & housing specialists continue to provide onsite services on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In addition, a mobile showers trailer is available on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Way Out Ministries provides a full range of social services to residents, including help with social security, unemployment and disability claims.

Casa Youth Shelter is committed to remaining open and ready 24/7 to provide a safe place to stay, warm bed, and hot meal for all youth ages 12-17 who are homeless, abused or struggling with crisis.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) Winter Shelter program has been extended and is operating 24-hours. The program provides overnight shelter, meals, showers, and case management. Free transportation is available to and from the shelters by going to any of the designated pick-up locations. For the nearest available shelter and pick-up locations, please contact:

The Safe Parking Program funded through LAHSA provides individuals or families, living in their vehicle, with a safe and legal place to park and sleep at night. Parking locations are safe with onsite security and restrooms.
