The Hawaiian Gardens Ambassador Scholarship Program is a professional development opportunity to represent the city as an ambassador at numerous special events.
Contestants will be judged on their positive attitude, networking skills, etiquette,
poise, social skills, punctuality, participation, and professional appearance in a three month program that will involved outings, workshops and a speech.
All contestant forms due by TBD.
Contest Qualifications:
- Must be Hawaiian Gardens resident
- Never been married/ no children
- Must be a college student
- 18-25 years of age
- City employees are not eligible to apply
- Ambassadors may not apply for a second term
- Deputy Ambassador and other contestants may apply a maximum of two terms.
Requirements and details:
- Serve as an Ambassador
- Attend citywide special events
- Scholarships will be awarded after end of term
- Scholarship will be sent to the financial aid office at college of enrollment
- Scholarships will expire two years from award date
- Ambassador can not apply for a second term
