What is an oversized vehicle?
In accordance with City Ordinance 2022-604, Oversized Vehicles include those weighing more than 6,000 pounds, exceeding 22 feet in length, or 7 feet in width and 7 feet in height, as well as camping trailers, campers, fifth wheel travel trailers, house cars, mobile homes, semitrailers, trailers, trailer coaches, and recreational vehicles.
What does the new ordinance mean for you?
No one is allowed to park any Oversized Vehicle on any public street in the City unless an Oversized Vehicle Temporary Parking Permit has been obtained.
The new law allows for free temporary permits for short-term parking needs. Obtaining a permit will allow individuals to park their oversized vehicle on public residential streets for up to 72 consecutive hours, for loading and unloading purposes.
Permits will be issued to City residents only; however, residents can obtain permits on behalf of out-of-town guests. Residents can obtain up to 12 permits each calendar year.
How do I obtain an Oversized Vehicle Temporary Parking Permit?
Applications must be submitted a minimum of 3 working days ahead and are available at City Hall, the Public Safety Center, and online HERE
Be sure to comply with the new rules to AVOID PENALTIES!

- Towing at Owner’s Expense
