THE PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT IS A NON-EMERGENT SERVICE.
The primary objective of the Public Safety Department of Hawaiian Gardens is the safety and security of our residents. The City Council is committed to increasing security and safety for the community and has allocated an increasing portion of the budget towards this goal. The Public Safety Commission is a conduit between the residents and the City Council government. Most important to the City’s safety and security is the involvement of residents in the community.
The City of Hawaiian Gardens contracts with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to provide law enforcement services. The City employs internal officers to enforce the City’s civil codes and regulations. There is a neighborhood watch program in place which is overseen by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. The Los Angeles Department of Animal Control is contracted to provide services to the City.
