Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement Manual. The Code Enforcement Manual is intended for use by Hawaiian Gardens residents, business owners, and City staff to help all understand the code enforcement process in the City. This manual describes the procedures and methods carried out by City staff to enforce the Municipal Code.

Engineering Division

Pavement Management System. The Engineering Division is responsible for developing a plan to maintain and repair City streets. The Pavement Management System identifies the prioritization of pavement repair to City streets.

Sanitary Sewer System Management Plan. The Engineering Division is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the City’s sanitary sewer system, as well as managing sewer improvements. The Sanitary Sewer Master Management Plan is a comprehensive long-term plan for the implementation of improvements to the sewer system facilities in the City.

Street Light System Master Plan. Hawaiian Gardens is responsible for developing lighting standards, managing City light projects, and providing payments for energy and maintenance of City street lights. The Street Light Master Plan documents the activities, findings, and recommendations for maintenance and improvements to City street lights.

Storm Drain Master Plan. The Engineering Division is responsible for regulating and inspecting drainage channels within the City, as well as working with regional agencies in maintaining regional storm drainages that are in the City. The Storm Drain Master Plan is a comprehensive long-term plan for the implementation of improvements to the drainage facilities in the City.
