While it’s difficult to remain indoors without our normal opportunities to exercise and play, there are still ways to get outside! Currently our City parks (except Fedde) are open for visiting and walking, though playground equipment and benches are closed for your safety. If you want to experience a bit of the outdoors, you can:

  • Visit a local park (This infographic shows you how to stay safe)
  • Work with friends and neighbors to start a neighborhood safari (Let us know if you do!)
  • Walk, bike, skate, or jog around your neighborhood.
  • Do some gardening/work on your yard
  • Take a drive

If you decide to try any of these outdoor activities, remember to always maintain a safe social distance (6 ft. away from others) and avoid crowds at all times.

If you can’t leave the house or feel more comfortable staying inside your home, LA County has provided “Virtual Park” resources for all! You can access those here. There are also plenty of online resources for kids AND adults, from activities, to workouts, to brain teasers and more. Take a look at the resources listed below and try something new! Let us know if you do by tagging us on social media (Instagram: @HGCityCa, Facebook: @HawaiianGardens1, Twitter: @HawaiianGardens).
