The City of Hawaiian Gardens is a general law city, incorporated in April 1964, and is located adjacent to the cities of Long Beach and Lakewood, in Los Angeles County. The population is approximately 15,558. The City, with an area of one square mile, is largely residential with centralized commercial development and full recreation facilities. A five (5) Member City Council, each being elected at-large for a term of four (4) years, governs Hawaiian Gardens. The City is served by the ABC Unified School District.
