The primary objective of city government is the safety and security of our residents. A variety of services and tools are used to achieve this vital objective. The City Council is committed to increasing security and safety for all, and has allocated an increasing portion of the budget towards this goal. The Safety Commission is also responsible for security issues and is an additional conduit between the residents and the City Council and government.
The City of Hawaiian Gardens contracts with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department to provide law enforcement services. The city employs internal officers to enforce the city's civil codes and regulations. There is a neighborhood watch program in place which is overseen by the Sheriff's department. Los Angeles Department of Animal care and control is contracted to provide services to the City. Most vital to the safety and security of our city is the involvement of residents in the community. |
 |
Neighborhood Watch meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, second floor meeting room of the Public Safety Center.
