especially major improvement to the homes and
businesses within the city. Her favorite place
in the city is the Human Services Department where
many programs and events take place for the youth

the city’s code enforcement and public safety
departments could be improved. Also, she would
like to improve the city’s business development
program and redevelopment in our city and our
blighted areas improved.
Her decision to become an elected official was
to succeed with the dreams of her late husband,
council member Robert Canada. She wishes to create
a safe and beautiful City. She has a very deep
affection for the citizens of the community. She
feels that her accomplishments have been as part

hopes to continue the trend of major improvements.
Her personal goals for the city include; occupying
vacant lots, opening of the dead-end streets,
a Sheriff’s sub-station in the city, a new
public library building, development of the permanent
Casino building, and completion of the Urban Trail
Park.
Her motto is: "I
have never forgotten why I was elected, which is
to serve the citizens of this City."
