Notice is hereby given that City of Hawaiian Gardens invites sealed bids pertaining to the item(s) listed below:

 SEALED BIDS:

The City of Hawaiian Gardens invites sealed bids for Design and Build of a Community Shade Structure Project at Lee Ware Park, and will receive such bids in the office of the City Clerk,
21815 Pioneer Boulevard, Hawaiian Gardens, California 90716, up to the hour of 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the jobsite, Lee Ware Park, 22300 Wardham Avenue, Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716 (Wardham Ave. and 223rd Street) at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

This project shall consist of the design and construction of a fully functional and practical shade structure at Lee Ware Park.  The design of the shade structure shall include construction plans, electrical plans, specifications and calculations, stamped and signed by a California Registered Civil Engineer or California Registered Structural Engineer. The shade structure must be built according to the plans and specifications approved by the City of Hawaiian Gardens Building Department. The work shall include removals, grading, compaction, construction of foundation and concrete pad, relocation of irrigation, water lines and electrical conduits, installation of shade structure with tile roof, installation of LED lights at shade structure, electrical connections, furnish and install four park benches and all other items not mentioned but indicated in the Plans and Specifications.  Copies of the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents are available from the City of Hawaiian Gardens, Community Development Department 21815 Pioneer Boulevard, Hawaiian Gardens, California 90716, upon payment of a $20 nonrefundable fee, if picked up, or payment of a $35 nonrefundable fee, if mailed.
