GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT
 

During each regular meeting, the Council shall provide a member of the public the opportunity to address the City Council on any issue within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Council. Each speaker shall be limited to two (2) minutes of general public comment at each regular meeting. The City Council shall not discuss or take action relative to any general public comment unless authorized by California Government Code Section 54954.2(b).

This is the time for the City Councilmembers to discuss any changes in the order of agenda items.
 
AGENDA ITEM PUBLIC COMMENT
 

The City Council shall provide an opportunity for the public to address the Council on each agenda item before Council’s consideration of the item. A member of the public wishing to speak on one agenda item that is eligible for public comment shall be given an opportunity to speak for up to two (2) minute when that item is considered by Council.

PLNG2018-0047 (TENTATIVE TRACT MAP NO. 72944), SUBMITTED BY KEVIN CONKLIN, TO CONSOLIDATE FIVE EXISTING LOTS INTO A SINGLE LOT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF 18 RESIDENTIAL CONDOMINIUMS ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 21821 HAWAIIAN AVENUE, ZONED R-3 (INTERMEDIATE DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) – CASE NO. EXTEND THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TNT ELECTRIC SIGN COMPANY PROVIDING SERVICES FOR THE CITY’S COMMERCIAL SIGN PROGRAM FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR.

1. TEEN CENTER CONSTRUCTION/PROGRAM UPDATE.

COUNCIL ACTION: Direct staff as to Teen Center construction and programming.

 

2. REVIEW THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF CARSON-BELSHIRE AS IT PERTAINS TO THE PROTECTIVE-PERMISSIVE LEFT TURNING MOVEMENTS.

COUNCIL ACTION: Direct staff to conduct the Delay study.

 

3. REVIEW THE FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TRAFFIC CALMING STUDY CONDUCTED FOR 226TH STREET BETWEEN PIONEER AVENUE TO NORWALK BOULEVARD.

COUNCIL ACTION: Direct staff on proposed recommendation.

 

4. REVIEW THE SPEED STUDY OF NORWALK BOULEVARD FROM 224TH TO 226TH STREET IN THE CITY OF HAWAIIAN GARDENS

COUNCIL ACTION: Receive and file.

 

5. REVIEW OF CURRENT FACILITY RENTAL FEES IN THE RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT.

6. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 006-2019
ADOPT RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CITY FACILITES TO OPT-UP TO THE 100% GREEN POWER TIER AND ESTABLISH THE 100% PERCENT GREEN RENEWABLE ENERGY LOCAL BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM.

COUNCIL ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 006-2019.

 

7. A REQUEST FROM COUNCILMEMBER HANK TRIMBLE TO REVIEW A ND DISCUSS THE ADOPTED GUIDELINES REGARDING AGENDA ORGANIZATION.

COUNCIL ACTION: Council policy.

 

8. CONSIDERATION OF THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT TO THE RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION.

COUNCIL ACTION: Approve by consensus, Mayor Maravilla’s appointment as presented, pending approval of a background check pursuant to the Hawaiian Gardens Municipal Code.
